MEGABABELAND by Isabel Koenig Woodroffe

Ten years ago I began dreaming of a perfect mirror for my bedroom. The mirror had to be simple, sexy, reference the female form, and pay respects to a certain hero and icon of design history. This mirror surely didn’t exist anywhere in the world. I would have to make it myself. Megababeland was born.

Since Megababeland’s inception I have made all manner of everyday furniture. Everyday furniture exists to accompany particular activities in the home. Examining the history and culture of human behaviours helps to make the furniture come alive. What does it mean to feast? What does it mean to bathe? What does it mean to lounge? The furniture becomes an everyday invitation.
