CARLOTA OYARZUN GALLERY COPENHAGEN - 2022, MADRID - 2024

Carlota approached me directly after spotting my table on Instagram. Her concept was to assemble all the pieces for the exhibition in a residential space. Titled It Will Follow, Carlota brought together 14 local and international designers who explore “how bold materials are adapted to function with simplicity in form and subtle detailing”.

I manufactured a new Megababeland Dining Table (ed. 2 of 10) and arranged for it to be transported to Copenhagen from London. I sent the table with the words “Conceived as a practical companion to all ‘activities of feasting’ the psychedelic patterning evokes visions of abundance while drawing focus to the ceremony and singular pleasure of eating”.

Carlota’s gallery has since relocated to Madrid and continues to be a hybrid space; her apartment and her gallery coexisting as one.
